Cops: Woman Kicked, Bit Officer After Assaulting Another Woman

Levittown woman violated an order of protection, fought police who attempted to arrest her, cops said.

A Levittown woman faces charges after Nassau County Police say she bit and kicked officers who were arresting her.

Second Precinct officers received a call about two people fighting on Ponder Lane in Levittown at 8:50 a.m. Saturday. Responding officers found that Theresa Signoriello, 25, had assaulted an unidentified 24-year-old woman and attempted to arrest her, cops said.

As officers tried to arrest Signoriello, she began flailing her arms to avoid being handcuffed, police said. After she was eventually handcuffed, she kept fighting officers while kicking, refusing to walk, and swinging both legs into the air, cops said.

Signoriello eventually fell face down and police lifted her by her arms and legs to hoist her into a patrol car, police said. She sustained minor scratches to her chin, cops said.

One officer was hurt when Signoriello reportedly spit in his face, kicked him in the legs, and bit his hand causing a laceration to his fingers, cops said. He was treated and released from a nearby hospital.
