Dog and Cat Adoptions and a Dunk Tank Challenge Benefiting Homeless Animals- Who Could Ask For More?

Looking to adopt a new best friend? Look no further. Head down to Last Hope Animal Rescue in Wantagh and meeting a beloved Beagle named Beamer and a beautiful kitty named Mattie; both would love to go home with their forever families today!
First up is Beamer. Beamer arrived as a sweet and subdued fellow straight from a Kentucky shelter. At first glance he looks like a purebred Beagle…but his legs are a tad bit long and his tail a tad bit curled and his jaw a tad bit different from a Beagle’s (might be a Beagle with a pinch of Puggle). This handsome boy is about 3-4 years old and is truly one of a kind! Head down to the shelter today to check out this unique Beagle boy looking for a loving home.
Ever try looking up the word “cutie” in the dictionary? If you have, then you’ve seen Mattie. Mattie is a sweet girl that was found under a deck in Jericho with her 3 brothers. She was born in May 2014, rescued by Last Hope and taken in by a foster family where she was socialized and cared for. Thanks to all of these wonderful efforts, Mattie is now a friendly loving little kitty that enjoys cuddling and playing with everyone! Why not scoop this little cutie up today!

This weekend is supposed to be another hot one, so why not cool off and have fun all while helping animals...
The “Last Hope Dunking Challenge” is this Sat. 9/13 from noon to 6pm. Whom do you want to dunk at $10 a dunk? We are renting a real dunk tank, and are competing with our rescue pals at “Save-A-Pet” to see who raises the most money. If we do, Alure Home Improvements will generously donate an additional $1,000 to Last Hope. Please help this come true!

You can dunk anyone who is willing and available – a friend, a relative, a Last Hope volunteer or Board member, why not your 3rd grade teacher or veterinarian?
You can even bid higher than $10 to entice your “intended” to take the plunge for Last Hope. Let’s start the bidding on Last Hope Board members pictured below. You are welcome to post a photo of the person that you plan to splish splash for Last Hope…
For our long distances dunkers, feel free to provide a virtual dunk, by donating $10 to the Last Hope Paypal link (below) and adding a little message ” Virtual Dunking Challenge and the name of your virtually wet good sport”.
