An Et Tu

World

Hour by hour, day by day, the list of names grows.

Those who join, giving unsolicited advice to other public figures immersed in controversy, now eagerly leap to be included.

A bit belatedly, but perhaps a safer time politically for vulnerable public entities to enter the fray.

I wonder, however, if that is important.

Most of those who are so quick to vocalize their outrage quite possibly may have their own well hidden baggage.

Perhaps what really matters is what the voters, irregardless of political affiliation, want.

They were the ones whose support (or nonsupport in my case) resulted in the election of elected representatives currently in power.

Their erstwhile political friends and/or associates (currently calling “shame,”) aren’t the precise ones to judge.

Often, quite unexpectedly, myriad accusers or hitherto undocumented missteps unexpectedly emerge highlighting their own conduct either in personal life or political spotlight.

I am honestly not impressed by the late entrance of AOC, Gillibrand, or Schumer into the current NY Governor’s well publicized predicament.

What matters most, in my humble opinion, should be a poll of the voters who wanted the current NY Governor in office. If a majority judge him unfit, ask him to resign. If not, it becomes a valid documented decision.

But the loudest voices, arising from their rapidly increasing and well orchestrated podiums, might be prudent with silence .Who knows when their turn may come?

In the current “Et Tu” atmosphere, an unscheduled crisis must be feared and possibly even anticipated by any public figure.

And mobs always welcome new members.
