I, for one, have gotten into the habit of filing every minutiae of life into “before C’ and “after C.”
This morning I realized how unfair that really is.

and now I must admit:
I cannot blame my 3 lb weight gain on a virus.
The extra pounds belong to the return of carbs and had little or nothing to do with the other and unforgettable C.
The truth is I abandoned an old friend, Dr. Atkins and reopened my door to not Covid, but carbs,
Nor dare I blame my increased expenses on Dr. Fauci or his vaccines. No, it has been my introduction to the delight of a shoppers doyenne, Amazon, whose daily visits I must now drastically curtail.
Ah yes, Covid did have consequences, but the ones I currently endure are mainly of my own making, and it is finally time I admit the truth
Perhaps our initial relationship began during the Covid days, nights, and to some degree years, however, streaming would have eventually entered my world without either disease or famine.
And while I am loath to admit the truth, it is now close to an addiction, fighting for time with my beloved computer and two Ipads.
No Covid was never a welcome visitor to my limited world, but those that inhabit it now were all by invitation, mine and only mine,
and it is time I finally admit the truth!
