Holiday Shopping and the Economy

Some stores opened on Thanksgiving. Most were open on Black Friday.

Small businesses had their turn on Saturday and Cyber Monday appears to have had record sales.

The kickoff of the holiday shopping season appears to have been successful as shoppers came out in huge numbers.

The question now is how much of an impact it will have on the U.S. economy. It's always good when spending is up, but others point out that we still have the European debt crisis out there.
