ICYMI: Massapequa Firefighter Honored For 70 Years Of Service

A Massapequa resident was recently honored for his 70 years of active service with the North Massapequa Fire Department.
Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano honored Firefighter Frederick Penna during a ceremony on Thursday with a citation for his years of service to his community.
“The men and women of Nassau’s volunteer fire service put their lives on the line to protect our homes and communities 24 hours a day, 7 days a week," Mangano said. "I thank Frederick for his dedication these past 70 years, and for all that he has done for Nassau’s residents.”

Penna has served in the North Massapequa Fire Department since February 1947.
