Learning the Ins and Outs of the Library
To learn more about the library, fourth-graders at Unqua Elementary School in the Massapequa School District went on a scavenger hunt.
From Syntax: To learn more about the library, fourth-graders at Unqua Elementary School in the Massapequa School District went on a scavenger hunt. Library media specialist Melinda Alford had students work independently and use their existing knowledge of library resources to find certain items such as a book from the biography section, a picture book that starts with the same letter as their last name, a magazine and more. The project also integrated technology as students had to find information using the online catalog.
