Liberty Bringing Jobs to LI and Improving the Customer Experience

Construction will begin July 1, 2022 on Liberty's customer service walk-in and call center

Liberty is excited to announce the start of construction on July 1, 2022 of Liberty’s locally staffed customer service walk-in and call center at 60 Brooklyn Avenue in Merrick. The center is expected to open at the end of 2022.

Hiring 17 dedicated customer service representatives allows Liberty to boost the local economy and provide a walk-in center for customers to pay bills and ask questions. This project is a major commitment of Liberty’s transition plan upon acquiring the New York water system from American Water in January.

In addition to the walk-in service, customer phone calls will now be answered locally, by resident’s familiar with the area and with an understanding of our customers’ specific needs. Customer service staffing will also include individuals at the managerial level, who are empowered to make decisions with the goal of resolving issues in an expeditious manner and eliminating the need for call backs.
