Making 2015 Special For Homeless Animals

Wouldn’t it be great to start the New Year with a new best friend? There are so many beautiful cats and dogs that would love to make 2015 their special year, so why not head down to the Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter and Last Hope Animals Rescue and meet some of them. This week, its my pleasure to introduce you to Pretinha, Rouge and Katie Bell!

Ms. Pretinha is a uniquely gorgeous 4 1/2 years old female described only as a love bug. She is super sweet, loves people and loves to play. She loves to run around in the yard at the shelter, and can’t get enough of toy playtime. While Pretinha is quite friendly with dogs on the street, she would prefer to live in a single dog household. And it seems as though Ms. Rouge was trying to get a jump-start on New Years Eve when she was found behind a bar as a small kitten. Rouge is an adorable tabby born in August 2014, and has been home fostered, which means she is now ready for her forever home! Rouge is described as sweet and loving, and has the makings of being your new best friend. Also at Last Hope you can meet this sweet dog named Katie Bell. Another very unique pooch, Katie Bell looks like a Patterdale Terrier which are a rural regional variety of dog, similar to Feists. They resemble medium-size, leggy, smooth Fox Terrier mixes. Katie Bell is about 2 years old and comes to Last Hope from a Kentucky shelter. Katie is described as a sweetie full of love and energy. She will do best with someone who will love her and teach her basic manners.
