Police Release Surveillance Photos of Man Who Tried to Rob Nassau Bank

The attempted robbery occurred in July.

MASSAPEQUA, NY - Police are seeking a man who attempted to rob a Massapequa bank last month.

On July 19, a man entered the TD Bank on 5555 Merrick Road, approached the manager and presented a demand note for money, police said.

He then fled from the bank on foot without any proceeds.

The man is described as in his 20s, between 5-foot-11 and 6-foot-3 with a thin build, police said. He also had small mole near his left eye and had a tan complexion.

He was wearing a black baseball cap over a white towel wrapped around his head, a light green uniform shirt over a gray long sleeved shirt, khaki trousers and black shoes.

He was also wearing a latex glove.
