Man Robs Massapequa Bank

No injuries were reported.

MASSAPEQUA, NY - A Massapequa bank was robbed on Saturday afternoon, according to Nassau Police.

A man entered Capital One Bank on 4374 Sunrise Highway, approached a female bank teller and handed her a demand note for money at about 12:30 p.m.

After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the robber fled the bank and was last seen heading north on foot.

The robber was described as a black man, 25 to 30-years-old, 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-8, about 150 pounds, wearing a dark colored hooded long sleeve zippered sweatshirt, dark colored pants, bright colored sneakers and a dark colored baseball hat.

No injuries were reported by the three employees and four customers who were present at the time of the robbery.
