Manifesto

Indeed, God works in mysterious ways.

Usually whispering softly in the stillness of quietude, mandating a person’s full attention and communion, and sometimes, The Almighty makes a bold monumental motion like with the deadly flood that Noah safely sailed upon, and the fire and brimstone that extinguished the wickedness and debauchery in Sodom and Gomorrah halting sinfulness in its purified ashes.

On a more extolled note, God orchestrated a grand commotion to rock the Disciples sequestered in an upper room praying and contemplating the incredible events of the past five weeks when disruptive howling winds pierced the tiny space and flames of fire danced over their heads as the majestic Holy Spirit empowered and fully enlisted them in Divine decree.

Baptized by the Holy Spirit, they prophesied, spoke in tongues, and were enraptured with the magnificent Holy Energy, that would lead them on an uncharted yet definitive path, heralding unorthodox attitudes, ethics, and approaches and pointing in a revolutionary direction.

Each step from Holy Thursday, when Jesus established the sacrament of the Eucharist and emphasized the greatest commandment to love each other by washing His Disciples feet, called for a varied perspective, fresh ideas, and a way of being that tenderly and reverently facilitated releasing the prior authoritative rule.

In a very short period religious parameters and mindsets were challenged and began to evolve, formulating a system of open-mindedness, love, and cooperation.

This was the Lord’s manifesto, His great plan to alter the course of a selfish indulgent world.

These declarative events elicited an upgraded vision and program to be adopted.

Jesus was a walking manifesto criticizing the present situations, and proclaiming a new era.

Pentecost will be celebrated on May 28th. What will The Holy Spirit ignite in you?
