• Fire heavily damages Massapequa home, displaces 4, injures 2 firefighters (newsday.com) — A serious house fire on Clocks Boulevard in Massapequa Saturday evening heavily damaged a home, displaced four residents, and injured two firefighters, though all occupants escaped unharmed. About 100 firefighters from Massapequa and neighboring departments battled flames involving the house, attached garage, and lithium-ion batteries, with the road closed for hours while county investigators worked to determine the cause.
