Nassau County police said Monday morning that they had responded to the school at 6:45 a.m. for a possible threat; police further said that the school had been evacuated but did not say what the potential threat was.
In a letter to the school community, district officials said a thorough “grid search” of the building had been conducted by security staff from the district and NCPD patrol units, emergency service officers and detectives.
