Massapequa High School Unveils Upgraded Athletic Fields

The fields were recently upgraded as part of the capital construction bond approved by voters in 2014.

MASSAPEQUA, NY - Massapequa High School recently unveiled the recently upgraded athletic fields as part of the capital construction bond approved by voters in 2014.

The fields at the high school’s main campus were upgraded during the summer prior to the start of the 2017-18 school year.

One of the most noticeable changes is a new track and multi-purpose turf field, capable of handling football, soccer and lacrosse games.

The sound system was also upgraded.

A new turf baseball field was also installed along with new dugouts.

The outfield can be used for soccer and field hockey. Other upgrades to the athletic complex included new tennis courts, fencing and walkways.
