Massapequa Man Sentenced To 12 Years In Prison For Selling Heroin Out Of Apartment
The 28-year-old turned his basement apartment into a "personal drug mill" to package and distribute narcotics, the DA says.

A Massapequa man was sentenced to 12 years in prison and 5 years post-release supervision on Friday for selling heroin out of his basement apartment, according to the Nassau County District Attorney.
Windsor Coleman, 28, was convicted in April for first degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, second degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, two counts of second degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and third degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, the DA said.
The trial, before Supreme Court Justice William Donnino, lasted one week and the jury deliberated for two hours.

During the investigation, he sold 100 grams of heroin to investigators on several occasions, the DA said.
At the time of his arrest, investigators found more than 132 grams of heroin, more than 140 grams of cocaine, thousands of empty glassine envelopes, rubber bands used to package heroin, a digital scale, and a grinder used to mix quantities of narcotics with cutting agents inside the apartment, the DA said.
At the time of his arrest, Coleman was on parole for second degree criminal sale of a controlled substance for selling heroin out of the same apartment to Suffolk Police investigators, the DA said.
“We are in the middle of a nationwide heroin epidemic and dealers like Windsor Coleman are poisoning our communities,” DA Madeline Singas said. “Today’s message is clear: if you are selling heroin, we will use every tool available to law enforcement to arrest and prosecute you.”
