Massapequa Philharmonic Cheers On Little League Team With Music
The local orchestra recorded a special version of "Take Me Out to the Ball Game" in honor of the Massapequa Coast Little League team.
MASSAPEQUA, NY — Little League fever is sweeping Massapequa, and it's even affecting classical music. The Massapequa Philharmonic Orchestra played a special tribute for the Massapequa Coast, as they get ready to compete in the Little League World Series on Friday.
The Coast are competing against the team from Honolulu, Hawaii, on Friday night. To help boost their spirits and cheer them on, the Massapequa Philharmonic recorded a special rendition of "Take Me Out to the Ball Game."

The Massapequa Coast's game starts at 7 p.m. Friday, and will be broadcast on ESPN. The Town of Oyster Bay will also be holding a live watch party at the team's home field at John Burns Park in Massapequa.
