Massapequa Residents Gathering Supplies For Florence Victims

Anyone can drop off supplies, or come out this Saturday to help load a truck bound for the Carolinas.

Massapequa residents are gathering together to help the victims of Hurricane Florence, and are asking others to help.

Members of the Massapequa Lions Club are gathering supplies to fill a truck to send to the Carolinas filled with goods to help people with recovery. In particular, they are looking for shovels, axes, gloves, bleach, wipes, Home Depot gift cards, rope, non-perishable food, mops, buckets, brooms, animal food, paper products, water, baby formula, diapers, wipes and anything that would help recover from flooding.

People with goods to donate should make sure the goods are sorted and boxed, and the boxes clearly labeled. Donations can be dropped off at The Cop Shop, located at 560 Broadway, Massapequa.
