Massapequa's Best Tax Preparer Is...

With income tax season 2012 finally nearing its end, earlier this week Patch asked readers to vote for the best tax preparing service in Massapequa.

The voting was fast and furious, but in the end, one service stood tall over all the others in the hearts and minds of Massapequans -- , who emerged victorious against the 16 other tough contenders in our poll.

"We've been in business since 1978," said Rodney Venten, an accountant who co-owns the business with his wife, Linda. "We transferred and moved into Massapequa in 1994, and have been praticing out of Massapequa ever since. We have many Massapequa clientele, as well as many others throughout Nassau County, and it's an honor have them vote me as their tax preparer."

Venten Accounting Services won the poll with a whopping 24 out of 30 votes cast, with  and tied for second.
