Massapequa's YES Counseling Center Receives $9,000 Grant
The grant will help support and expand many of the programs the center offers.

The YES Community Counseling Center recently received a $9,000 Community Partner grant from United Way of Long Island.
The funding will support the expansion of delivery services to residents of southeastern and central Nassau County. In addition to enhancing our support services to children and families, this funding will also be allocated toward Commerce Plaza, the Children’s Business Center. Commerce Plaza offers children in the fifth grade the opportunity to develop their financial literacy skills and learn about the world of business through hands on business simulation.
“This funding provides YES with the opportunity to better serve the children and families of our community and to enrich their lives in many aspects. We are grateful to United Way and those who have contributed who recognize the value of charitable giving to help others,” said Jamie Bogenshutz, executive director of YES Community Counseling Center.

“We couldn’t do the work that we do without our community partner agencies and the contributions they make to the residents of Long Island" said Theresa A. Regnante, president and CEO of United Way of Long Island. "By providing funding to these organizations, it shows that they meet the highest standards of excellence in the not-for-profit sector.”
