A Mother Like No Other

Ever wonder why we worry incessantly, and pile up chaos like accumulated clutter that we then attempt to hide or disguise? We fool ourselves into believing that we are still on the general playing field, but all the while, we know the ground may be tilted to our disadvantage. Try as we may, to alter situations, some things are meant to be.

Take, Mary. Life was difficult two thousand years ago – no modern amenities to simplify or liberate one from the monotonous and laborious trials that consumed the waking hours. Backward fearful thinking permeated the bygone standard for a more meaningful existence, which always harbored somewhere on the desolate fringe, and the rigors of everyday life made survival seem worthy of a gold star.

Then, there are those tenuous, unexplainable situations that present themselves, and ultimately transform us, and charter our lives in a direction that was never even a peripheral thought or conceivable possibility.

“Mary, you have found favor with God, “Archangel Gabriel spoke. Even though his words were kind, inoffensive, and non- threatening, the visual of an angel chatting with us is out of our daily routine and vocabulary. Perhaps that is precisely the problem.

Times have changed, but connecting with God is still not only possible, but highly recommended in today’s scattered, distracted, and unconnected society. Don’t be led astray by the prolific and conspicuous social and mass media that clumps of people are chained to each day. This is not fostering oneness. It is dissolving it one tweet at a time, whereas every false, well worded, positively exaggerated Facebook post adds to the tumult.

Inclined to think your computer is your new age buddy? Guess again. These fabricated plastic, petrochemical prototypes have cleverly and seductively dispensed themselves as the necessary quick fix – all the while generating our life and dictating how deep we will descend into the pit of pretend and superficial interactions.

As moments loom into weeks and more, God waits…

What are you waiting for?

Even though Mary probably had many well-founded reservations about accepting the role of an unwed mother in an era where the penalty of being stoned to death carried serious trepidation, she accepted what the Lord asked. She was on board. Are you?

The Almighty may not be seeking our consent for an immaculate conception of His Son, but He does expect us to emulate His Son. What better way than to honor and venerate Mary as Jesus did?

Mary is the mother of God, but she is also everyone’s mother. She watches out for all, and has appeared in many apparitions throughout the world to spread God’s word in an effort to ease mankind’s dilemmas, suffering, and blatant inability and refusal to understand and apply what He has asked of us since recorded chronologies.

Mary is the threshold of Heaven.

Dear Mary, Queen of Heaven,
pleasebless all mothers with abounding gentleness, kindness, patience, and unconditional love for each of their children. Ensure that no one is neglected as that can lead to the battered emotions and ceremonial lashing out that plague our society today. Let every child know love as the basis of all that is from the One who loves all. Amen.
