Motorcyclist In Critical Condition After Crash In Nassau

Police say the motorcyclist struck two different cars in the crash, causing multiple internal injuries.

MASSAPEQUA, NY — A man was critically injured in a motorcycle crash in Massapequa earlier today in which he hit two different cars.

According to Nassau County police, the accident happened at 10:25 a.m., when a four-dour 2014 Lexus being driven by a 63-year-old man was turning left at the intersection of Broadway and Veterans Boulevard in Massapequa and was struck by a 2013 Harley Davidson motorcycle being driven by a 28-year-old man.

The motorcyclist struck the passenger side of the Lexus, and then struck a 2017 Lexus SUV being driven by a 56-year-old woman that was heading north on Broadway.

The motorcyclist was airlifted to Nassau University Medical Center and is currently in critical condition with multiple internal injuries. Neither of the other drivers were injured.

All of the vehicles underwent brake and safety testing at the scene, and the motorcycle was impounded. Police say the investigation is ongoing.
