Nassau Police Report: Week Of August 10

Nassau County Police released the crime report for the week of Aug. 10 to Aug. 17.
Check out the following incidents and arrests near the Massapequa area over the past week as reported by police:
- Aug. 9: A woman reported that someone entered her car and rummaged through the interior and removed her purse with contents on Pacific Street in Massapequa Park.
- Aug. 10: A woman reported that someone entered her car and rummaged through the interior on Atlantic Avenue in Massapequa Park.
- Aug. 10: James V. Schneider, 20, of Amityville was arrested for shoplifting from Macy's in the Sunrise Mall in Massapequa.
- Aug. 11: An unknown person broke the front left drivers side window on Lawrence Street in Farmingdale.
- Aug. 14: A man reported that someone entered his car and stole his military backpack containing his military ID, military travel card and assorted military clothing and equipment at the Four Points Sheraton Hotel on S. Service Road in Plainview.
- Aug. 15: A man reported that someone keyed his car at Orlin and Cohen Orthodpedic on Crossways Park Drive in Woodbury.
