Nassau Police Report: Week Of August 3
Check out the recent crimes and arrests reported near the Massapequa area.

Nassau County Police released the crime report for the week of Aug. 3 to Aug. 10.
Check out the following incidents and arrests near the Massapequa area over the past week as reported by police:
- Aug. 2: A woman reported that someone stole the license plate off her car at the Sunrise Mall in Massapequa.
- Aug. 2: A woman reported that someone entered her car and stole her pocketbook with contents at the Sunrise Assisted Living on Old Country Road in Plainview.
- Aug. 4: A man reported that someone damaged his car while it was parked on Lake Shore Boulevard in Massapequa.
- Aug. 5: Anthony Alvarez, 23, of Bay Shore was arrested on a DWI charge on Birchwood Park Drive and Miller Place in Syosset.
- Aug. 6: A man reported that someone ransacked two of his cars on Berry Hill Road in Syosset.
- Aug. 6: A man reported that someone entered his car and stole assorted change and a pocket knife on S. 2nd Street in Bethpage.
- Aug. 7: Anthony Gagliardi, 38, of Bethpage was arrested for shoplifting from the LIRR Mineola on Front Street and Mineola Boulevard in Mineola.
- Aug. 8: Karen Saccone, 69, of Massapequa Park was arrested for shoplifting from the Sunrise Mall in Massapequa.
- Aug. 9: Gerald Levy, 25, of Jamacia and Odane Grant, 25, of Brox were both arrested for shoplifting from Hollister at the Sunrise Mall in Massapequa.
