Nassau County Police released the crime report for the week of Jan. 26 to Feb. 2.
Check out the following incidents and arrests near the Massapequa area over the past week as reported by police:
- Jan. 13: A person was arrested for shoplifting from JC Penney in the Sunrise Mall in Massapequa.
- Jan. 24: A woman reported that someone stole the front license plate off her car on Carman Street in Massapequa.
- Jan. 24: A woman reported that someone entered her car and stole her handicap parking permit at Plainview Hospital on Old Country Road in Plainview.
- Jan. 26: A woman reported that someone entered her car and stole her Kate Spade bag with contents on Crestwood Boulevard in South Farmingdale.
- Jan. 26: A man reported that someone stole his unattended cell pohone from the Sunrise Mall in Massapequa.
- Jan. 26: A man reported that someone slashed the tires of his car on Helen Avenue in Plainview.
- Jan. 27: A man reported that someone punctured the tires on his car that was parked on Haypath Road in Old Bethpage.
- Jan. 27: A man reported that someone entered his car and stole his personal checkbook on Byron Lane in Bethpage.
- Jan. 28: A man reported that someone slashed the front and back tires of his car on Fallwood Parkway in South Farmingdale.
- Jan. 29: A man reported that someone entered his car and stole his workboots and cash on Hampton Boulevard in Massapequa.
