MASSAPEQUA, NY — An East Norwich woman was arrested on early Thursday for her role in a scam to defraud an elderly Massapequa woman out of thousands of dollars, Nassau County police said.
According to police, a 74-year-old Massapequa woman received a phone call on Jan. 21 from a man claiming to be her granddaughter's lawyer.
