Nothing is Sweeter than a Brownie! Just ask TOH Animal Shelter!

Her name says it all! And quite honestly, so does her picture. The Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter wants everyone to get to know Brownie, a young 3 year old lady of love.

Here is her story- as told by the volunteers at the shelter:

For 25 long, lonely months, our girl Brownie has lived her life inside the walls of our shelter. Brownie is our longest resident, has grown from a pup to a dog in the two years she’s been here. Two years is too long for any animal to be caged, and this lifestyle has really taken its toll on poor Brownie. What Brownie needs is someone willing to overlook her cage behavior, and come to meet her OUT of the cage. Let Brownie show you who she can be, let Brownie win you over with her soulful eyes, playfulness with other dogs, and her inspiring determination to get through this time in her life and make it to happier days. She knows there is someone out there for her, but it is our responsibility to find that person. Brownie has waited long enough-her time is NOW to get out of the shelter and into a loving home.
