Available at Last Hope Animal Rescue is Darla. Just look at these beautiful eyes! Darla is a pretty girl that is full of fun just waiting for you to come by and meet her! Darla was born in May 2014 and was thankfully rescued by a Last Hope volunteer. Darla has experienced home fostering, and now she is a sweet and loving lady who is ready to find her forever home!

Also at Last Hope is Poindexter. This handsome guy is a Pit mix with a hint of Hound. He’s 2-3 years old, has nice leash manners, will sit on command and just be happy to be your best friend. And just next door at the Town of Hempstead Animals Shelter is a dog who is sweeter than a cookie. Meet, Cookie! While waiting for her forever family, Cookie has been trained and is and doing fantastic her doggy play skills. Cookie is such a sweet dog that she is now the official office dog, and spends her days in the calm offices, which has given her a much needed break from kennel life. Cookie is completely house trained, she is calm and quiet, loves her crate, loves going for car rides, and even walks nicely on leash! Cookie takes treats as gentle as can be, and knows many commands (sit, down, heal, go to your bed, go to your crate... to name a few!) Cookie loves to give kisses, get her belly rubbed, loves to play in the yard, and even loves the agility equipment! So what more could anyone ask for?
