The Unqua Elementary graduate now advances in a competition that could earn him a share of $24 million in scholarships, highlighting academic excellence within the local school community.
   

• A nutty idea: Oyster Bay residents 'spread the love' by collecting peanut butter for food pantries – The Long Island Times (litimes.org) — Massapequa residents can support neighbors in need by dropping off peanut butter and similar spreads at Town Hall South on Hicksville Road as part of a townwide food drive. Partnering with the Massapequa Farmingdale Men's Club, Oyster Bay is collecting donations from October 1 through November 15 at several locations to help restock local food pantries.
