Police: Man Asked 14-Year-Olds to Film Porn Video With Him in Massapequa Park

Man arrested following incident in King Kullen parking lot, police say.

A Lindenhurst man approached two teenage girls in Massapequa Park last week, showed them a box of condoms and asked if they wanted to be in an adult film with him, Nassau Police said.

Andrew A. Quattrone, 32, was arrested on Monday in connection with the incident outside a King Kullen supermarket, police said.

According to police, Quattrone approached the two 14-year-old girls in the parking lot of the supermarket at 4900 Merrick Road shortly after 3 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 15.

In addition to showing the girls a box of condoms and asking if they wanted to be in an adult video with him, Quattrone also showed the teens pornographic pictures on his phone, police said.

When the girls began to walk away, Quattrone asked them to reconsider making a video, police said.

The girls ran to a nearby store and called police.

An investigation identified Quattrone, of 501 51st Street in Lindenhurst, as the suspect, police said. He was arrested at 5:10 p.m. on Monday in the same King Kullen parking lot where the alleged incident occurred, police said.

Quattrone is charged with two counts each of attempted use of a child in a sexual performance, endangering the welfare of a child and third degree criminal solicitation. He will be arraigned on Tuesday at First District Court in Hempstead.

Detectives are asking anyone with information regarding this incident or similar incidents to contact the Seventh Squad at 516-573-6753. All callers will remain anonymous.

In 2009, Quattrone was accused of similar crimes in North Bellmore and Westbury, according to reports. He was eventually convicted of third degree criminal solicitation and spent three years in prison, according to state inmate records. He was released from prison on Sept. 20, 2013.
