Queens Man Facing 54 Charges For 5-Month-Long Larceny Spree: NCPD
Police say he broke into cars across Nassau County and stole cash, credit cards and IDs.

A Queens man was arrested on Saturday and charged in connection to a 5-month-long robbery spree in places across Nassau County.
According to police, between Nov. 24, 2018 and April 28, 2019, Alex Hines, 47, of Queens, entered multiple cars across Nassau and stole credit cards, cash and various ID cards.
Nassau County police conducted an investigation with the Suffolk County police, who had Hines in custody on separate grand larceny charges. On Saturday, Nassau police took him into custody.

Hines is charged with 16 counts of petty larceny, 29 counts of fourth-degree grand larceny, one count of third-degree grand larceny, six counts of criminal possession of stolen property, one count of second-degree identity theft, seven counts of third-degree identity theft, three counts of third-degree criminal mischief and one count of fourth-degree criminal mischief.
He is scheduled to be arraigned on Monday in First District Court in Hempstead.
