Question of the Day : S&P Downgrade

For the first time ever The U.S. has seen it's credit rating go down.

Standard and Poors has given Uncle Sam an AA+ ratting, down from a AAA rating, leading to a sharp stock market drop Monday.

The other two major credit rating agencies have kept the U.S. at AAA.

S&P blamed the recent partisan bickering over the debt ceiling, but some have criticicized the move.

Our question is Should S&P have downgraded the U.S?
