A two car accident near the Massapequa Preserve, resulted in two people being hospitalized Wednesday, police said.
The accident occured at about 4 p.m. on Parkside Boulevard near Massachusetts Avenue.
Joan Rondinelli of Massapequa who said she was the first person at the scene, said an SUV rear-ended a parked car injuring the driver.

"The young guy who hit the parked car looked to be in very bad shape. His head went through the windshield," she said.
"My husband is an EMT and he tried to stop the bleeding until they took him to the hospital."

Rondinelli said the injured driver was conscious when ambulances arrived. She also said that there were two people in the parked car who were preparing to take their dog for a walk.
Police said two people were hospitalized with injuries that weren't life threatening.
