Last Chance to See NY Rising Reconstruction Plans
Public engagement event will invite community members from most of south Nassau.
A New York Rising public engagement event is set for Thursday and will bring together multiple south shore communities hit hard by Hurricane Sandy.
Community members are invited to hear about final reconstruction plans in multiple south shore communities, including Baldwin, Freeport, Bellmore, Merrick, Wantagh, Seaford, and Massapequa.
The event will include an open house from 6:30-8:30 p.m. and a presentation from 7-7:30 p.m. at Norman J. Levy Lakeside School in Merrick.

NY Rising, a community reconstruction program developed by the state, will be presenting the final plans for reconstruction of areas devastated by Sandy. All are welcome.
