Suffolk Federal Credit Union has announced a donation of $3,000 to Mondays at Racine, a non-profit organization that provides health, beauty and wellness services to women, men and young adults undergoing treatment for cancer, free of charge, one Monday each month at Racine Salon & Spa in Islip. The foundation was formed after HBO released an Academy Award-nominated documentary ("Mondays at Racine") about the salon's services for cancer patients. Suffolk Federal Credit Union fundraised for the non-profit by selling sun care kits to help its members and others Long Islanders protect their skin this summer.

Last year, Suffolk Federal Credit Union announced a community charter expansion to enable it to offer banking services in Nassau County.
