A teacher at Birch Lane Elementary School alerted authorities after seeing a threatening message over the internet Thursday morning, a spokeswoman for the school district said.
The teacher discovered the message on a Facebook page, but it did not contain a specific threat against the school building or any student, according to the spokeswoman, Deirdre Gilligan.
The building was not locked down and classes proceeded normally.
