Update: Three-Car Crash On Merrick Road
Passenger reported ejected from window, transported to Nassau University Medical Center.
A three-car accident at the intersection of Merrick Road and Carman Mill Road, left a teen critically injured Tuesday night, police said.
A westbound 2000 Toyota was making a left-hand turn from Merrick Road onto Roosevelt Boulevard when it was struck in the side by an 2000 Honda traveling east, according to cops.
The Toyota spun from the impact, striking a 2004 Ford SUV that was making a right-hand turn from Roosevelt onto Merrick. The Toyota's back-seat passenger was thrown through the rear window and onto the street, Nassau County Police confirmed.

Miriam Santiago of Massapequa was the driver of the Ford SUV.
"I was waiting here to turn," Santiago said. "There was a car making a left here, and one going East, and the one going East was going really fast, and they pretty much just hit each other. Then the one car spun and hit me."
Santiago's Ford sustained only minor damage. She and a passenger were unharmed.
