TOBAY Notebook: Pre-School Open Houses
Town's two pre-scools opened for parents.
The Town Oyster Bay will be opening up their two pre-schools in November to parents of prospective students.
The first open house will be held at the Massapequa school, located at on Nov. 15 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The school at the will also hold an open house on Nov. 17 from 6 to 9 p.m.

Parents will be able to visit the facilities and register their 3-year-old or 4-year-old children for the 2012-2013 school year.
Children can be registered for morning or afternoon sessions for either three days or five days a week. Children in the in the pre-school program must be toilet-trained and able to follow simple instructions and express basic needs. No diapers or pull-ups are allowed.

Co-Ed Badminton begins Sunday
Time to break out the nets and For the first time ever, the Town of Oyster Bay is sponsoring a co-ed Badminton program.
It begins Sunday and runs through Thursday Dec. 15th from 8:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. at the Hicksville Athletic Center.
The program is open to Town residents 18 and over. Pre-registration is required. For more information, call the Parks Department at 516-797-4129.
Thanksgiving Sanitation and S.O.R.T information
The Town of Oyster Bay is reminding residents that there will be no sanitation or S.O.R.T recycling collection on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 24. Residents who normally receive sanitation or recycling collection on Thursday will receive pickup on Friday, Nov. 25, and Friday customers will receive collection on Saturday, November 26. Town offices will be closed on Thaksgiving, but all park facilities will be open.
