Two Adults And A Dog Displaced In North Massapequa Fire: Fire Marshal
The fire marshal's office said about 70 firefighters were on the scene at the one-story home.
MASSAPEQUA, NY. — Two adults and their dog were displaced in a house fire in North Massapequa Thursday night, the Nassau County Fire Marshal’s office said.
The fire marshal’s office said the fire was called in at 6:28 p.m., with the North Massapequa Fire Department first on the scene at a one-story wood-framed home on Seneca Drive. When they arrived, fire personnel found the fire on the interior of the home with one occupant having self-evacuated, the fire marshal said.
With mutual aid from the Farmingdale, Wantagh, South Farmingdale, East Meadow, Massapequa, Bethpage, Seaford and North Bellmore fire departments, the force of about 70 firefighters were able to get the blaze under control in 65 minutes with no injuries reported, fire marshals said.

Fire officials said the local building department was notified, and that the fire marshal’s office was investigating the cause of the fire in conjunction with the NCPD arson bomb squad.
