Weigh in on Live Streaming Public Meetings

Monday is often an important night for public meetings in the Massapequas.

The will meet, as will the .  There are also Town meetings, library meetings, and school board meetings, among others,  that are open to the public. 

For the most part, only a small percentage of the population turns out for these meetings, but an in the city of Long Beach, could get the public more involved.

Last week, they began videotaping and webcasting council meetings so the public can see government in action.

While there have been no discussions to bring such a program to our area, we'd like to know what you think of the idea.
