Men found dead a few miles apart Monday morning.

Two men were found dead, at least one of them a victim of violence, in two separate incidents in Coram Monday morning.

According to police, Sixth Precinct officers responded to a call at 1 Brookwood Drive at 8:07 a.m. When they arrived, they discovered the body of a man lying in a grassy area near a parking lot, police said.

The man, whose identification is being withheld pending notification of next of kin, was pronounced dead at the scene. Police did not say how the man died.

About an hour later and three miles away, another man was found dead in a car, police said.

Police said officers responded to a call near the intersection of Coram-Swezeytown Road and Mount Sinai-Coram Road at about 9:20 a.m.

When the officers arrived, they discovered the body of a man inside a black 2000 Infinity Q45, police said.

The man appeared to be a victim of violence and the cause of death is under investigation, police said.

The victim, whose identification is being withheld pending notification of next of kin, was pronounced dead at the scene.
