The office of Immigration &amp; Refugee Services is recognized by the U.S. Department of Justice to counsel, process, file, and represent clients before the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and EOIR Immigration Court. Our organization provides essential support to Ukrainian Humanitarian parolees through the Ukraine Supplemental Appropriation to Resettlement Agencies (USARA) Program. Through USARA, we help individuals and families achieve stability, economic independence, and successful integration into the community. We serve Ukrainian citizens paroled into the U.S., as well as non-Ukrainians who resided in Ukraine and were paroled into the U.S. between February 24, 2022 and September 30, 2024. A bus driver and the six special-needs children he was transporting managed to get off a school bus in Roosevelt Monday morning before it was completely engulfed in flames. <a href="http://www.newsday.com/long-island/nassau/cops-school-bus-gutted-by-fire-driver-evacuates-children-1.14400465" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">According to Newsday</a>, the driver saw smoke coming from the engine and got all the children off the bus at 7:51 a.m. on Bennett Avenue in Roosevelt. While they were waiting to be picked up, the bus completely caught fire. The Roosevelt Fire Department responded and got the fire under control, but the bus was completely destroyed. <a href="http://www.newsday.com/long-island/nassau/cops-school-bus-gutted-by-fire-driver-evacuates-children-1.14400465" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Newsday reported</a> that the second bus took the children to Family Residences and Essential Enterprises in Old Bethpage, where they were fine. <a href="http://www.k2mphotography.com/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Photos: Courtesy Kevin Madigan</a>
