Serial Drunk Driver Arrested For Fifth Time: Police
BREAKING: Police say he was swerving between lanes and almost hitting other cars when he was pulled over.

A Franklin Square man was arrested Thursday night in Merrick for drunk driving — his fifth offense.
According to police, Joseph Jacaruso, 51, of Adams Avenue, Franklin Square, was driving a 2000 Chevrolet Blazer west on Merrick Road in Merrick at 8 p.m. Police say he was swerving between lanes and nearly collided with several other cars on the road. An officer pulled Jacaruso over.
Police determined that Jacaruso had been drinking and placed him under arrest without incident. Jacaruso has three previous convictions for driving while intoxicated and one conviction for driving while ability impaired by alcohol.

Jacaruso is charged with driving while intoxicated, first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, reckless driving, failure to stay in a single lane and unlicensed operator. he is scheduled to be arraigned in First District Court in Hempstead on Friday.
