Birthday Helicopter Ride Ends With Crash

All the people on board refused medical attention.

CRAWFORD, NY — An investigation is ongoing into a helicopter crash Saturday in Orange County. Police responded to a field near Youngblood Road in Crawford around 12:40 p.m. when the pilot of a 1989 Bell 222A helicopter had engine failure and attempted to land.

The helicopter overturned and began to leak fuel, recordonline said.

There were six people on board at the time of the crash.

Five passengers, who were celebrating a birthday, along with the pilot, suffered minor injuries, Daily Voice said.

All refused medical attention.
