Graswald Receives Maximum Sentence In Death Of Fiancé
She pleaded guilty to a lesser felony charge in July.

GOSHEN, NY — Angelika Graswald received the maximum sentence allowed in death of her fiancé Vincent Viafore. During a court appearance Wednesday, the 37-year-old was sentenced to 1-1/3 to four years in state prison.
Her attorney said the time she’s already spent in jail will count toward her time in prison, and she is expected to be out on parole by the end of the year, the Poughkeepsie Journal said.
She pleaded guilty in July in exchange for a lesser charge of criminally negligent homicide, which is a felony, and admitted in court that she caused the drowning death of Viafore while they were kayaking on the Hudson River in April 2015.
