Sentence In Sex Abuse Of 3 Children
The district attorney said his staff is dedicated to bringing sexual abusers to justice.

HIGHLAND FALLS, NY — A Highland Falls 19-year-old will be going to prison for child sex abuse. Orange County District Attorney David M. Hoovler said Anthony Martinez, 19, of Highland Falls, was sentenced Sept. 4 in connection with his previous guilty pleas to three counts of first-degree sexual abuse.
Martinez received three five-year sentences — one for each of his victims — with the sentences to run consecutively, for a total term of 15 years in prison.
He was also sentenced to a 10-year period of post-release supervision.

Hoovler said that sexual abuse of children cannot be tolerated.
"My staff is dedicated to bringing sexual abusers to justice," he said. "The disposition of this defendant's case will remove him from society for about a decade and a half, so that he will not be able to abuse other children for that significant period."
