A look at 10 major accidents in Miller Place, Rocky Point, Sound Beach and Mt. Sinai in 2011.

There were many accidents in the area over the course of the year, but the most troubled spot has been the intersection of Echo Avenue and Route 25A in Mt. Sinai, where Patch reported seven serious accidents at the location.
A utility pole in the parking lot of the Miller Place Plaza off Route 25a in Miller Place was downed on Feb. 28, causing delays on 25a due to a downed wire in the road along with property damage. Some cars were unable to avoid the wires and crashed.
