Local districts make announcements Monday morning.
The Miller Place and Rocky Point school districts are both closed on Monday.
From Miller Place Schools:
Good Morning, This is Dr. Higuera. Due to the current weather conditions, and the forecast additional bad weather throughout the day, all schools will be closed. There will be: No athletics; No clubs, including drama and robotics; No transportation for private schools or Out of District student placements, and No evening activities for community organizations. Stay warm ~ be safe.

From Rocky Point Schools:
Due to the current weather conditions and the uncertainty regarding weather conditions during the afternoon dismissal, school will be closed on Monday, February 2. This includes out of district and BOCES students. Additionally, there will be no transportation for private and parochial schools. All extracurricular activities and building use, including the Budget Workshop and the Board of Education, meeting are canceled for today.
