Photo of the Day: Sound Beach Fire Department Award Winners Honored

The Sound Beach Fire Department held its annual Installation Dinner at Majestic Gardens in Rocky Point on March 3, and award winners were congratulated by Brookhaven Town Supervisor Mark Lesko and Councilwoman Jane Bonner.

Awards included Rescue Person of the Year, Woman of the Year and Firefighter of the Year.

“Everyone at the Sound Beach Fire Department deserves recognition and praise
for all that they do for the community," Bonner said. "I applaud them for their unrelenting willingness to put themselves in harm’s way to save the lives of our residents.”
