Police: Lynbrook Man Drove Drunk With 13-Month-Old Son in Car
Man faces a felony DWI charge, police say.

A Lynbrook man faces a felony DWI charge after police say he was drunk while driving with his 13-month-old son in his car in Hempstead late Saturday night.
According to police, 27-year-old Adrian N. Rubio was traveling south on Clinton Street when he was observed by a patrol officer driving in an erratic manner.
A car stop was conducted on Front Street in the vicinity of Washington Avenue and an investigation determined Rubio was under the influence of alcohol, police said. Rubio was also driving with a suspended license, police said.

Rubio was arrested at 11:55 p.m. and his son, who was a passenger in the backseat of the car, was released to a family member at the scene, police said.
Rubio is charged with aggravated DWI–a felony under Leandra’s Law–, DWI, endangering the welfare of a child, third degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle, as well as Vehicle and Traffic Law infractions.

Rubio will be arraigned on Sunday at First District Court in Hempstead.
